Agents of SHIELD Will Have More Infinity War Tie-Ins

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. isn’t done with Avengers: Infinity War just yet. Adrian Pasdar, who plays Glenn “Graviton” Talbot, revealed that S.H.I.E.L.D. will continue to refer to the film as the show winds up for its Season 5 finale.

“Yeah, we do have stuff in the background periodically that references and ties into whats going on with Avengers: Infinity War,” Pasdar told TVLine. “Yeah, they use that. They always tie in very well with what’s going on [in the movies].”

The series referred to Infinity War last week, but the tone was more more irreverent than previous tie-ins. When Tony “Candyman” Caine asked Daisy if she’d seen the aliens attacking New York City, she simply replied that “I can’t watch the news. It makes me crazy.”

Previously, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. helped clean up the University of Greenwich following Thor: The Dark World, aided Nick Fury in acquiring a helicarrier for Avengers: Age of Ultron and held a discussion about the fallout from Captain Amercia: Civil War. Thus far, the only MCU event to truly impact the show was Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which revealed that Hydra had infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D., but the game-changing ending of Infinity War may give Winter Soldier a run for its money so far as S.H.I.E.L.D. is concerned.

Airing Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons, Ian De Caestecker, Natalia Cordova-Buckley and Elizabeth Henstridge.
