According to Deadline, actor Jonny Coyne is set to join the show’s forthcoming third season in a recurring role as comics character Allfather D’Aronique. In the comics, the Allfather is an overweight, revolting slob that is the true head of The Grail and is one of the most powerful characters outside of the Saint of Killers. Coyne, of course, is perhaps best known for his work on Turn and Alcatraz, however, he has also appeared in Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life and is set to join Taissa Farmiga in The Nun later this year. Coyne’s casting marks the first bit of casting for the forthcoming season.

The series, which has proven to be a hit among both critics and fans, stars Dominic Cooper as the titular Preacher, Jesse Custer. After a supernatural event at his church, he becomes inhabited by an entity known as Genesis, which grants him the ability to command people to do anything he says. The series is set to return sometime this year though a release date hasn’t been confirmed.
