Movies

Ant-Man and the Wasp star Michael Douglas is game for a prequel film centered around his character Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man.

Speaking to ComicBook.com, Douglas appeared excited at the prospect of a Hank Pym prequel. “I just hope Marvel is listening,” Douglas said. “ComicBook.com, guys, you hear what he’s saying, Marvel? Here we go! It’s going to be the entire future of my life.”

Though Douglas is now in his 70s, the Academy Award-winning actor would love to step back in time with the character, noting that technological advancements in filmmaking would allow for him to continue playing the role, despite the significant age gap. “Now that I see that you can have the ability to make yourself 40 years younger rather than simply having a flashback in the movie,” he said. “If you can make yourself small and you can make yourself big, I should certainly hope that you can make yourself younger. I wanna give Paul [Rudd] a run for his money! I think it’s time for us to go at it mano-a-mano.”

In theaters Friday, Ant-Man and The Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Hannah John-Kamen, Randall Park and Walton Goggins.
