Starz has reportedly cancelled its series Ash Vs. The Evil Dead after a three-season run. The news comes ahead of the Season 3 finale, which will officially serve as a series finale for the series, set to air on April 29.
The fan-favorite series, which franchise creators Sam and Ivan Raimi tried to get off the ground for several years before its execution, was set after the third film in the cult Evil Dead film series, Army of Darkness. In addition to franchise star Bruce Campbell, reprising his role as horror icon Ash Williams, the show featured Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo and Lucy Lawless in supporting roles.
Despite a warm reception from fans and critics alike, Ash Vs. Evil Dead’s ratings sunk to a mere 225,000 total viewers by the Season 3 premiere. The show will close out with 30 episodes total.

Ash Vs. The Evil Dead concludes its three-season run on April 29.
