Avengers: Infinity War Runtime Revealed

UPDATED 3/7/2018 8:50 pm ET: A representative from Disney informed CBR this number is not official and may not be the final runtime. The original story follows below.

Avengers: Infinity War may be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s longest film yet. According to AMC Theaters, the film clocks in at a whopping 2 hours and 36 minutes.

With the Infinity War out in just over a month, AMC’s runtime for the film is likely accurate, but it’s worth noting that this is not an official confirmation of that. CBR has reached out to Disney for comment.

This reported runtime falls in line with what co-director Joe Russo said of the film last summer. “The current cut is over two and a half [hours],” he said at the time. “Most of it’s a movie you could show, but there’s still a lot of work left to be done, I still have a couple of scenes that we haven’t finished from Avengers 3 that I’m shooting in the next few months with my brother [Anthony], and it’s certainly gonna be a film that lives in the two and a half hour, two and a half hour-plus range.”

Infinity War will beat out Captain America: Civil War by just eight minutes, as the Captain America film runs for 2 hours and 28 minutes. The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron follow at 2 hours and 23 minutes and 2 hours and 21 minutes respectively.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston, and Josh Brolin. The film arrives April 27.
