Popular shonen manga Bleach has launched its very own official Instagram with a mysterious countdown of sorts!
Its first day featured the number “1” among color illustrations with many familiar faces from Bleach in 2001 and 2002. The number “2” has followed in a similar fashion, showcasing artwork from 2002 and 2003. Naturally, the sudden activity has fans speculating what the numbers could be counting towards.
Written and illustrated by Kubo Tite, Bleach ran in Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016 and was also adapted into a long running TV anime broadcast from 2004 to 2012. In addition, it spawned various other media spinoffs from games to stage shows and light novels. A live action adaptation starring Fukushi Souta opens in cinemas across Japan on Jul. 20.
