Fans will be able to celebrate the 20th anniversary of iconic anime Cowboy Bebop with a one-day theatrical screening of all 26 episodes!
This exciting event is the result of a collaboration between Anime NYC, Subway Cinema and Quad Cinema. The sci-fi action series is critically acclaimed around the world and heralded as a masterpiece of the genre, so the celebratory screening (officially titled “Cowboy Bebop: The 20th Anniversary Binge Sessions”) seems wholly appropriate.
The event (Japanese audio/English subtitles) will be held at New York City’s Quad Cinema on Apr. 22 beginning at 12:00 pm and ending at 12:00 am, with the series itself running for about 650 minutes in total. The episodes are grouped into three sessions: 12:00 pm to 3:15 pm, 4:00 pm to 7:15 pm, and 8:00 pm to 12:00 am, with breaks in between.
Fans can also have fun coming in cosplay with a cosplay contest and other fun activities planned during the breaks. There will even be prizes like weekend tickets to Anime NYC and Cowboy Bebop goods from Japan up for grabs.
