After over 40 years, everyone’s favorite Wookiee will get his own theme music in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

In a Q&A session on Twitter, director Ron Howard revealed that Chewbacca will indeed get a musical signature thanks to Solo composer John Powell. This came to be on the recommendation of longtime Star Wars composer John Williams.

“John Williams himself suggested that John Powell would be a great candidate to not only use the classic Star Wars themes, but also the new theme that John Williams himself wrote for Han Solo,” Howard said when asked to compare Powell to other composers he’s worked with. “John Powell wrote a lot of great themes, including the first-ever Chewbacca theme.”

Chewie has been a supporting player for Han Solo since the first Star Wars movie. Now, Solo will detail the origin of both characters and their lifelong friendship. It appears that Howard will give the Wookiee a deeper sense of character and personality in the film.

Based on a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Michael K. Williams and Woody Harrelson. The film arrives May 25.
