Gal Gadot Watches 80s TV in Wonder Woman 2 Photo

Movies

Gal Gadot takes in many of the popular television programs from 1984 in a new photo for Wonder Woman 2, or as the film looks to now be titled, Wonder Woman 1984.

The image shows Wonder Woman staring at a wall of TV screens, which display images of oil tycoon J.R. Ewing from Dallas, commercials for drinks, a woman driving a sports car with the top down, TV color bars and much more imagery from the period of time. Whether this is Wonder Woman trying to familiarize herself with popular 1980 programming in the movie, or its Gadot’s clever way of revealing the film’s new title remains to be seen.

Director Patty Jenkins also shared an image of Chris Pine on the set of the sequel this morning, showing Steve Trevor walking through a crowded mall. Since Pine’s Steve Trevor died at the end of the 2017 original, one of the mysteries of the sequel will involve his apparent resurrection.

The photo arrives after the debut early this month of a staticky image that reads “WW84,” teasing the sequel’s actual title. Last month, Warner Bros. purchased numerous website domain names for the sequel, including wonderwoman1984.com, wonderwomanlives.com and wonderwomanreturns.com, igniting fevered speculation about the title.
