The long-awaited sequel to Pixar’s The Incredibles is projected to have a very successful opening weekend. Incredibles 2 is forecasted to rake in at least $140 million in North America alone.

Disney distribution chief Cathleen Taff confirmed at CinemaCon last month that the teaser trailer for Incredibles 2 is the most watched animated teaser of all-time, with over 113 million views in its first 24 hours. Early tracking for Incredibles 2 shows that total awareness for the film is at 96%, and that “definite interest” is at 61%.

The sequel to 2004’s The Incredibles is set to resume right where the first film left off — with the Parr family trying to lead normal lives while balancing the use of their superpowers. However, this is disrupted when Helen Parr is offered a new job as Elastigirl, and suits up once more in an effort to restore the image of superheroes in the public eye.

Bob Parr, on the other hand, is left to be a stay at home dad, despite his own superhero career as Mr. Incredible. Parenting is difficult enough already without one of your children testing all of their newly discovered powers out on you.
