Actor Jeremy Jordan, who plays Winn Schott, will move into a recurring role for Supergirl Season 4.

“We love Jeremy, and even though he’s [not going to be around full-time], we’re not saying goodbye to Winn at all,” producers Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller told TVLine. “We’re already breaking big stories for him right now for the fall, and I think the fans will be excited to see what he has coming up.”

Although it’s unclear at this time why Winn will be less prominent in Season 4, Rovner and Queller assured fans that he will be “fulfilling his full potential.”

Jordan has been a series regular since Supergirl premiered in 2015. The actor’s change of status follows the announcement Jesse Rath, who plays Brainiac-5, has been upped to a series regular for Season 4. The next season is also set to introduce Nia Nal, a transgender woman described as a “young Cat Grant type.”

Airing Mondays at 8 p.m. on The CW, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott, with appearances by Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant and Tyler Hoechlin as Superman.
