The second season of Star Trek: Discovery will feature a younger version of the franchise’s iconic character Spock but with a new actor in the role.
After yesterday’s news that Ethan Peck will portray Spock on the CBS All Access series, Peck has since received the support of original Spock actor Leonard Nimoy’s family. Peck tweeted a picture with the Nimoy family flashing the character’s traditional Vulcan salute to live long and prosper, thanking the family for their support upon assuming their patriarch’s famous role.
Thanks to the Nimoy family for your open arms, warm welcome, smiling curiosity and support, for making me feel worthy, as I embrace and take into my heart the iconic half alien we know as Mr. Spock. It is an incomparable honor.
