New York Comic Con Expands with NYCC NOW Events

ReedPOP, the organizers of high-profile pop culture events including New York Comic Con, Emerald City Comicon and C2E2, has unveiled a new program that looks to bring a dash of NYCC flavor to New York City throughout the year.

Dubbed “NYCC NOW,” the series aims to host multiple con-type individual events around NYC — described as “fan meetups, game nights, trivia, movie screenings and much more.” The first announced event looks to stray away from the comics side of thing and more heavily into the pop culture avenue, with a panel featuring actors and husband-and-wife Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) and Megan Mullally (Will & Grace), discussing their upcoming book The Greatest Love Story Ever Told.

The Mullally and Offerman event is scheduled for May 31 at The Bell House in Brooklyn. Tickets are on sale now for $40 and include a copy of the book, which is scheduled for release on Oct. 2. Further NYCC NOW events are planned, but have not yet been announced.

This year’s New York Comic Con will take place Oct. 4-Oct. 7 at the Javits Center in New York City. Ticket information for NYCC 2018 has not yet been made public.
