Spider-Man, Halloween, Bumblebee & More Invade SDCC Friday Schedule

San Diego Comic-Con’s Friday programming schedule for Hall H has been announced and it looks like an all star lineup with panels from a whole host of eagerly anticipated films and TV series.

The previously announced back-to-back panels for The Walking Dead and its spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead begin the Friday programming in earnest from 11:15 to 1:15 PST in the San Diego Convention Center’s marquee hall. The panels will feature the cast and crew of both AMC series and be moderated by Yvette Nicole Brown who replaces Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick.

Star Trek: Discovery takes the hall at 1:30 providing a first look at the upcoming second season. The panel will consist of the series’ cast and new showrunner Alex Kurtzman.

Universal will have their own dual panels starting at 3:45 highlighting their Halloween revival and next year’s Glass. While details on Universal’s panels are still being kept under wraps, directors David Gordon Green and M. Night Shyamalan are rumored to appear along with actors Jamie Lee Curtis, Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and James McAvoy.

Paramount’s panel follows at 5 with the studio focusing on the upcoming Transformers spinoff prequel Bumblebee this year. Director Travis Knight and star Hailee Steinfeld are both expected to appear on the panel.

Sony will have their own back-to-back panel presentation starting at 6:15 and is looking to be all about the studio’s upcoming Spider-Man projects. The lineup includes this October’s Venom starring Tom Hardy and December’s animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Specifics for the panels are still unknown but select members of the cast and crew are expected to appear.

Friday’s Hall H programming concludes with a panel for the AMC series Preacher spotlighting the current third season. The cast and crew of the fan-favorite Vertigo adaptation are expected to appear teasing what’s to come next for Season 3 of the show.

San Diego Comic-Con International begins with a preview day on Wednesday, July 18 and concludes on Sunday, July 22 at the San Diego Convention Center. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for news straight from SDDC 2018.
