The CW today revealed the Season 3 finale date for Supergirl. The show’s season end date has been assumed for some time now, but the network only just made the news official today. Supergirl’s Season 3 finale will be on Monday, June 18.
Supergirl’s scheduling got something of a shakeup this season due to the premiere of Black Lightning and a promise by the CW’s president, Mark Pedowitz, that the network would not air more than four superhero shows at a time. Black Lightning’s addition this season brought the superhero series count up to five, alongside the likes of Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl.

As a result, some series had to go on hiatus to honor the only-four-superhero-series-at-a-time promise, Supergirl being one of them. The series’ third season returned on Jan. 15 and ran until Feb. 12, at which point the show’s Monday at 8 p.m. slot was taken over by Legends of Tomorrow. Supergirl will return on April 16, wrapping up its third season on June 18.
Returning Monday, April 16 at 8 p.m. on The CW, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott, Chris Wood as Mon-El, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor and Odette Annable as Samantha Arias/Reign.
