Wonder Woman 1984: Kristen Wiig Leaps Into Action in New Set Video

Movies

We’ve seen the first official look at Kristen Wiig’s Barbara Minerva in Warner Bros. and DC’s upcoming sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, but now we have an idea of what the actress will look like as the super-villain known as the Cheetah.

A new set video from the shoot of Wonder Woman 1984 reveals Wiig in the middle of a stunt scene. The actress is wearing a harness and, with the help of wires, performs a massive leap that no regular human could ever pull off. Although the video is taken from afar, we can still notice that Wiig has a different demeanor and look than she did in the first picture director Patty Jenkins previously released.

With a changing look and burgeoning superpowers, this video seems to be our first look at the birth of the Cheetah. Since Barbara’s Cheetah form is the result of a curse, it appears the film will feature Barbara slowly transforming into her Cheetah form. Her powers come first, but her full, cat-like look will surely follow soon.

Directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal, Wonder Woman 1984 is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 1, 2019.
