When first premiered nearly five years ago, it was said that we would never see one true, proper Joker. Instead, the Batman prequel television series would feature several possible Jokers, so as to not give the character one particular origin story. Fast forward to Season 5, and now it appears as if the Clown Prince of Cime is fully formed, and ready to take Gotham City by storm. For quite a few seasons now, the birth of the Joker has been closely tied with Jerome Valeska and his twin brother, Jeremiah, both played by Cameron Monaghan. When Season 4 of Gotham concluded, Jerome was dead, and Jeremiah was following in his brother’s footsteps as a maniacal, criminal genius who left the city in chaos and ruins. The character was all but ready to become the Joker and now, with Season 5, it appears as if the Fox series will finally feature Jeremiah as the iconic Batman villain. Home Entertainment failed to anticipate just how much fans would rejoice, as its now increased production to 70,000 units “to accommodate overwhelming demand.” “As many fans and media have noticed, Amazon and other notable retailers were forced to suspend sales of Batman: The Complete Animated Series Deluxe Limited Edition due to unprecedented demand for this beloved series,” General Manager & EVP, Television for Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Jeff Brown said. “Sales surpassed our initial run of 30,000 limited edition box sets about four weeks ago and, rather than leave so many fans wanting, we implemented new production orders to accommodate the requests for this prized collection. Could we see the return of now that has a new showrunner? According to John Barrowman, the possibility has at least been discussed. In a new interview with , Barrowman, who played Captain Jack Harkness on the series, revealed that a new Torchwood series isn’t necessarily off the table. At least, not now that former showrunner Chris Chibnall is presently running things on Doctor Who. According to the actor, while Chibnall was still finalizing his deal to become the new showrunner on Doctor Who, Barrowman emailed him about Torchwood and received a promising response. RELATED: So, how exactly did the conversation come about? Barrowman, who recently starred on the CW’s Arrow, explained that he’s been meeting with various production companies all around the United States — including the CW — and, unsurprisingly, most of them have shown interest in securing the rights to Torchwood. The series, which served as a Doctor Who spinoff, ran between 2006 and 2011 and saw Barrowman’s Captain Harkness protect South Wales from alien attacks, along with some help from a group of experts. Though short-lived, the series has continued to find a new fanbase thanks to other storytelling platforms, including audio dramas and . Unfortunately, though, the possibility of Torchwood coming back to life on the small screen has seemed rather slim in recent years, which is why Barrowman’s conversation with Chibnall sounds so promising. When the actor emailed Chibnall, he asked if the former showrunner would be interested in a potential Torchwood revival, to which Chibnall responded rather coyly. “He e-mailed me back, and he said ‘As you probably know, I’m in the middle of something very big at the moment, and I can’t discuss anything else,'” Barrowman explained. “But he said ‘Let’s talk when things calm down a bit.’ And that was just at the beginning of his negotiations for Doctor Who.” As it turns out, if Torchwood stands any chance at a revival, Chibnall is the person who can make it happen. “If anyone can do it, it’s Chris,” said Barrowman. “Chris is the one who can make the decision, because it’s always the decision of the showrunner of Doctor Who. New York Comic Con was the site of a return to Metropolis for fans of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and for stars Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain. The pair was reunited at a panel celebrating the 25th anniversary of the hit ‘90s show, and for nearly an hour, they reminisced about the four seasons they spent together as one of pop culture’s most beloved couples. When it comes to the chemistry they had on set, Cain and Hatcher set the standards for couples on superhero shows, and the easy rapport between the pair was actually a happy accident. Hatcher noted that the actors never screen tested together for the show, but according to both, their personalities always meshed and balanced each other out. RELATED: Cain said that the show worked well because of their differing personalities, and because their characters followed suit. “Clark was sort of reactionary, but [Lois] ran the show, and the balance of our personalities worked really, really well,” he explained. “In virtually every scene, I had my partner and she would just drive the scene.” The pair also talked about their favorite moments from the show. Hatcher noted that her favorite iconic moment from the show was in the pilot, when Superman flies Lois in through the window at the Daily Planet and sets her down in the crowded newsroom. (Her favorite full episode, however, was Season 1’s “Honeymoon in Metropolis,” because she loved the romantic comedy-esque tone.) While Cain loved that scene as well, his favorite moment in the series was when Clark proposed to Lois, as he felt that it encapsulated their entire relationship. The moderator mentioned that another notable aspect of the show was the dynamic of the Clark/Superman characters. Where many other iterations show Superman as the true self, Lois &Clark follows comic writer John Byrne’s reinvention of the character, where Clark is the main person and Superman is the disguise. Cain was asked if he could have played the character any other way, and had a very simple answer: “No.” He laughed, and noted that as time went on, he much preferred playing Clark, with Hatcher joking it was just because he didn’t want to wear Superman’s iconic tights. Jamie Lee Curtis has lined up her next film project following the success of this month’s Halloween revival. The Golden Globe-winning actor has signed on to Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, a modern-day murder mystery updating the classic pulp whodunit stories popularized by novelists such as Agatha Christie and films such as Clue. In a surprise announcement, CBS All Access has ordered an animated comedy series from Ricky and Morty writer Mike McMahan. Titled Star Trek: Lower Decks, the upcoming series will follow the support crew of one of Starfleet’s less important starships with comedic effect. He and the rest of his classmates become embroiled in a fight against supervillains while learning to master their Quirks and become heroes. More than 30 years after the release of the original , producer Gale Ann Hurd revealed she and director James Cameron almost didn’t get to end the film the way they wanted. At Screamfest, Hurd recalled the behind-the-scenes struggle with executives to maintain the bleak ending we all know. “We got notes to end the film before the end of the film,” she said in a Q&A session. “Not even have The Terminator rise out as the endoskeleton, but just end with Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor hugging.” RELATED: Hurd had to fight for the vision she shared with Cameron — a difficult feat for a first time filmmaker. “I mean, your first movie and you’re telling people, ‘No, you’re wrong,’” Hurd said. “It’s not an easy thing to do.” Thankfully, Hurd and Cameron had right people fighting for them. She gave credit to her mentor Rodger Corman and Lindley Parsons, Sr., head of Film Finances in Los Angeles at the time. They both “knew what The Terminator was going to be,” according to Hurd, when not many people understood the idea. A video uploaded to Hemsworth’s Instagram account shows the actor and his personal trainer, Luke Zocchi, arriving in Brisbane and spotting a traveler on the side of the road. The hitchhiker’s sign indicates he’s heading to their destination, Byron Bay, and they opt to pick him up. “Little does he know that we’re getting a chopper!” Zocchi says on the video before they pull over. This year’s upcoming Arrowverse crossover event, titled “,” will be in no shortage of surprises and crowd-pleasing appearances. So far, we know that Ruby Rose’s Kate Kane, aka Batwoman, will join the ever-growing cast of The CW’s superhero universe alongside Green Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl. But that’s not all — it was recently confirmed that Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman would also appear in all three episodes of the crossover… and he will be joined by none other than Lois Lane, who will be played by Grimm‘s Elizabeth Tolloch. Now, thanks to a new picture from the set of “Elseworlds,” we can add a new character to the list of superheroes who will appear in the highly-anticipated crossover event: John Wesley Shipp’s The Flash. And no, we are not talking about Jay Garrick, the role Shipp is currently playing on the current, Grant Gustin-starring television series. We mean the Scarlet Speedster that Shipp played in the ’90s television series, The Flash, where he played Barry Allen. Shipp’s inclusion in the crossover comes as a genuine surprise, and it only adds to the excitement surrounding the big event. A new video takes viewers through New York City and highlights the spots that have been featured in the . Just like in the comics, a lot of the biggest events in the history of the Marvel Universe take place in New York City. It’s home to many of the company’s heroes and plays a part in many of their stories. A video released by pinpoints where many of the events took place in relation of one another and around the city. The video points out some of the obvious connections (notably, Steve Rogers growing up in Brooklyn and Peter Parker hailing from Queens) and fight sequences, but the video also points out some quietly cool aspects of the MCU version of New York City. RELATED: S.H.I.E.L.D. has a base of operations right next to Times Square, Stark Tower is actually the MetLife Building and the Stark Expo from Iron Man 2 being in Flushing Meadows Park are all little details that can be easy to miss, but the video manages to highlight.
