TV

The title and cast for the fourth season of Syfy’s Channel Zero has been announced. The horror anthology series will adapt the creepypasta short story Hidden Door by Charlotte Bywater. The season will be titled Channel Zero: The Dream Door.

Channel Zero is an anthology series that exclusively adapts creepypasta stories — horror stories that are posted and passed around various online forums, often penned by those very forums’ users. Hidden Door tells the story of a newlywed couple who move into the husband’s childhood home, only to begin experiencing strange things that are somehow linked to a mysterious door in their basement.

The newlywed couple, Jillian Hope Hodgson and Tom Hodgson, will be played by Maria Sten (Straight Outta Compton) and Brandon Scott (Grey’s Anatomy), respectively. Steven Robertson (Elementary) will play the couple’s next-door neighbor, a psychology graduate student named Ian. Steven Weber (Wings) will play Abel Carnacki, Jillian’s therapist.

Nick Antosca, who created the show, will return as an executive producer, writer and showrunner for the season. The series will keep up the tradition of changing directors with every season, this time inviting Evan Katz (Small Crimes, Cheap Thrills) to direct and co-executive produce Channel Zero: The Dream Door.
