First Captain Marvel Trailer Should Arrive in 'a Few Months,' Says Kevin Feige

With the hype for the Captain Marvel solo film certainly going into overdrive following the Avengers: Infinity War post-credits tease, fans were hoping to get a glimpse of the superhero sometime soon. However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has made it clear that, despite footage being aired at CineEurope recently, a trailer won’t be released for at least “a few months.”

At a press event for Ant-Man and the Wasp, Feige told ComicBook.com fans will have to be patient when it comes to footage and even plot details regarding the supposedly new face of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He did confirm, however, that the film was set to wrap production in about two weeks time, as per co-director Ryan Fleck’s recent statement.

“I think there’s still a few months on it,” Feige said. “You already know as much as you need to. We’ve got Skrulls, we’ve got the Kree, it takes place in the ’90s, you have Sam Jackson with two eyes and Carol Danvers, a unique telling of Carol Danvers origin story. We are about two weeks out from completion of principal photography.”

With this solo outing setting up her entry into Avengers 4 as part of the cavalry against Thanos, speculation is wild as to how she will eventually be drawn into this cosmic battle. As of now, the only other extra information regarding her origin story is that it will bring back Korath and Ronan the Accuser from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
