Appearing at a panel presentation for Seattle’s Ace Comic Con, Avengers: Infinity War actor Elizabeth Olsen revealed the circumstance in which the bulk of the cast was informed of the jaw-dropping ending.
Turns out, directors Joe and Anthony Russo waited until the actors actually shot the scene to tell them how things would play out. Of course, this took actors like Olsen by surprise. The star described to fans at the convention how the big reveal happened, sharing her confusion at the time, and the strange location where the cast was told: A van.

“I found out from the Russos exactly what was going to happen and it wasn’t until we shot it on that day we learned what the ending was,” Olsen said (via ComicBook). “They took us into a van – all of us – we were in a van with air conditioning because it was very hot and they told us how the movie was going to end and no one knew. And they were like ‘Now we’re shooting it, Go!’ and we were like ‘How are we supposed to interpret that?’”
