Jessica Jones Netflix Series Renewed for Season 3

TV

Netflix announced that Marvel’s foul-mouthed private investigator, Jessica Jones, is returning to the streaming service for a Season 3. The announcement comes a little over a month after the second season debuted on International Women’s Day.

Jessica Jones is among Marvel’s street-level heroes (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Punisher) that star in their own Netflix series. With Marvel working on its own streaming service while pulling its movies from Netflix, many wondered if the televised dramas would either be removed or cease to produce new seasons. However, with the news of a Season 3 renewal for Jessica Jones, that doesn’t look to be the case.. at least for now.

Based on the Marvel Comics character created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos, Jessica Jones stars Krysten Ritter as the troubled, superpowered private investigator.

Streaming now on Netflix, Jessica Jones Season 2 is executive produced by Melissa Rosenberg with Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory, and stars Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Rachael Taylor as Patricia “Trish” Walker, Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, J. R. Ramirez as Oscar Arocho, Terry Chen as Pryce Cheng, Leah Gibson as Inez Green, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth and Janet McTeer.
