It’s been nearly four years since The LEGO Movie wowed audiences worldwide, and inspired a pair of spinoffs, The LEGO Ninjago Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie. But in that time, we’ve learned very little about its delayed sequel — that is, until today.
Warner Bros. has revealed the title and logo for the imaginatively named The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.
Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks will reprise their roles as Emmet Brickowski and Wyldstyle from the 2014 original, joined by Will Arnett as Batman and Channing Tatum as Superman, as well as newcomer Tiffany Haddish. Mike Mitchell and Trisha Gum will direct from a script written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, and rewritten by BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg.

The original movie, which starred Pratt as an ordinary minifigure who discovers he’s the only one who can help the resistance stop a businessman from reshaping the LEGO worlds into his own vision, grossed $469.1 million worldwide. A third LEGO Movie spinoff, The Billion Brick Race, was announced for release in 2019, but there have been no recent developments on the project.
The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part arrives in theaters in February 2019.
