Live Action Bleach to Make U.S. Premiere on Jul. 28!

JAPAN CUTS: Festival of New Japanese Film will be the first in the U.S. to screen upcoming live action film Bleach on Jul. 28, just 8 days after the Japanese premiere!

Bleach is scheduled to show at JAPAN CUTS: Festival of New Japanese Film on Saturday, July 28 at 7:45 pm. Though tickets were available for purchase earlier, all of them are officially sold out as of Jun. 20!

Announced by Anime NYC and powered by Crunchyroll and Japan Society, the New York film festival will also welcome director Satou Shinsuke as a special guest. Those in attendance will be able to hear him introduce the film, as well as have the chance to ask questions at a post-screening Q&A.

This year marks the 12th JAPAN CUTS: Festival of New Japanese Film. Scheduled to run from July 19 to 29, this festival is the largest festival in North America to screen all sorts of films out of Japan.

Created by Kubo Tite, Bleach was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump for 15 years and spanned 74 volumes. Worldwide, it has printed over 120 million volumes.
