The official website for the upcoming film My Hero Academia the Movie: The Two Heroes has given fans a sneak peek at the bonus volume My Hero Academia Vol.Origin!
Written and illustrated by series author Horikoshi Kouhei, the volume is set to be distributed to the first million viewers of the movie in Japan. The trailer below confirms that fans will be treated to even more backstory than in the movie in a 9-page manga titled No.0 ALL MIGHT: RISING, with Horikoshi himself having commented that he may have revealed too much.
My Hero Academia Vol. Origin will also feature dialogue between Horikoshi and One Piece author Oda Eiichirou. To commemorate their sit-down, both authors illustrated and autographed their respective protagonists. Ahead of the premiere, the movie’s official website has posted the time-lapse video of Horikoshi illustrating Deku.
My Hero Academia the Movie: The Two Heroes is slated to premiere in theaters in Japan on Aug. 3.
