Shooting is expected to take place at Cape Town Film Studios, the same South African sound stages where 2012’s Dredd and 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road were filmed. Additional photography will take place in Eastern Europe with both Prague and Budapest scouted as possible filming locations.

First announced in 2015, Sony announced a partnership with Valiant Comics to create a cinematic universe based on their superhero titles. Leading the wave of planned Valiant films is an R-rated adaptation of Bloodshot, Valiant’s lethal super-soldier with incredible healing abilities and the power to hack into tech using the nanites in his bloodstream.
